Brazilian prosecutors have filed corruption and cash laundering fees towards Paul Bragg, the previous chief govt officer of Houston-based offshore drilling contractor Vantage Drilling.
Federal prosecutors mentioned in a Thursday night time assertion that Bragg was concerned within the cost of $31 million in bribes to a former govt of state-owned oil firm Petrobras.
The assertion says the bribe was paid to assist Vantage win a $1.eight billion contract in 2009 to constitution a drill ship to Petrobras.
The costs towards Bragg are a part of the probe into the corruption scheme at Petrobras and main development firms by which kickbacks have been paid for presidency initiatives.
In the previous couple of years, dozens of politicians and prime businessmen have been convicted and jailed.
